I can’t say objectively that Lyft is ethically better, but anecdotally every driver I’ve ever talked to that has done both Lyft and Uber strongly prefers working for Lyft. That’s from a sample size of about 15 different drivers.

Michael Scuse is NOT the acting secretary of Agriculture. He’s the former Deputy Ag Sec under Vilsack. The current acting Secretary is Mike Young.
Sounds like a good analogy. I’ve never given birth so I can envision how it might feel but I’ve never felt it.
As a white dude in a white state that went for Hillary (narrowly :-\), the Chappelle skit on SNL where he watches the results with his white friends really nailed the point home to me. Until then, I had always been aware of all of these issues, but I had never really felt what it was like to look around in a crowd and…
..And to the white women outside protesting, how about ya’ll go talk to your moms, daughters, sisters, aunts, friends, and cousins and see if you can change their voting habits next time, okay?
And why don’t those damn kids get off my lawn?! And what’s a “Moonlight” anyway?!
The New Yorker this week has a great look at former Academy voters who were ousted due to lack of involvement in the industry, and the supposed ageism behind it. One of the quotes is (I’m paraphrasing) “if there isn’t a role for a Chinaman, there isn’t a role for a Chinaman,” I shit you not

That’s not revenge. That’s just bullying.
I’ve shared this story before, and I’ll share it again.
This was a story told to me by my grandfather. When younger my grandparents would do a lot of RV’ing. E450 or E550 based RV (can’t remember which), very last year Ford sold the ye olde 460 engine with the commercial E-series cutaway. So you know the RV you get stuck behind in the middle of nowhere with the cruise…
He’s no achiever.
HEY WAIT A MINUTE I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT EQUALITY...SO WHAT ABOUT EQUAL TIME SPEAKING FOR EVERYONE WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT YOU’RE REALLY THE RACIST BECAUSE THIS IS ABOUT LAW AND ORDER AND EVERYONE KNOWS SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS ARE ALWAYS CHANGED BY FOLLOWING THE PROPER CHANNELS AND WAITING YOUR TURN
you cannot guard a man who exists in the silvery slipspace between the waking world and the dream world
“To wrap it up, the main character certainly spent most of the book On the Road, which is probably where it gets its title. But is the road a metaphor? I think it’s pretty clear”.
