So I have to ask genuinely if this guy is mentally impaired?  Or was he just stupidly drunk or high?

You can always tell a Milford man.

yea I have to agree with the other guy. Most people biking in other countries (shoot even the US) aren’t doing it to exercise, it’s a cheap mode of transportation that doesn’t pollute besides your own breath, while still giving you more freedom than public transport.

The European mind can’t comprehend this. What’s the use of bicycling if you’re not blocking traffic in heel clips, full spandex, and wraparound shades like you’re training for an Ironman Triathlon? Look at these lazy assholes. I bet their heart rate never leaves zone 2, how are they supposed to max their gains like

Most people who bicycle, especially outside the US, are not hobbyists.  They’re people getting groceries, going to work, or headed to a social function.

Sure, bud. It’s the Porsche owners who have fragile egos. Not the vapid man-baby who buys entire companies on a whim (only to burn billions by failing by every conceivable metric) and his bootlicking fans.

Who cares? Very clearly Tesla cared since they invented the story ...

We’re gonna need a lot less government oversight and regulations to keep this from happening again, again!

Yeah, he’s not a bad guy. But then neither is Homer Simpson and yet...

Whether he wants to admit it or not, buying this monstrosity IS an attention seeking move.

DON’T U DARE SUGGEST THAT PERFECT BABY CYBERTRUCK HAS NO CRUMBLE ZONES!!1 THE DRIVERS ARE THE CRUMBLE ZONES AND ARE PROUD TO SACRIFICE THEMSELVES TO ALMIGHTY SPACE KAREN.

You say that as if we even have the option to buy a Lee-Xiandong 2235 Model 25 F-900074, or any other Chinese car.

This time is worse, because Chinese companies can build a car that all Americans would buy. In the 70s, Japanese cars were tiny cracker boxes, so they didn’t really compete with the domestic company’s bread and butter.

I think everyone also forgets how scared Big Oil is. With a full transition from ICE to EV in say just a decade from now (if, if, if) then nobody is going to need gasoline (in quantity) anymore like today. That is a very very short time to try to pivot your industry. Sure we need oil and plastics and asphalt and what

“...something made in a country that actively employees slave labor and puts people in prison if you whisper something bad about the party.”

At this point I feel they are purposely sabotaging the EV market so they can scream about it failing so they can get back to ICE vehicles.

Naw, the self-deluded American car manufacturers will continue utterly fooling themselves that there is an infinite market for 1200hp EVs that cost a quarter million dollars. Face facts? Not these willfully blind simpletons.

There’s one reason for prohibiting the cars: no American or Japanese car-maker wants this competition here. It’s the 1970s panic over Japanese cars all over again. It’s just a different Asian nation.

There will be some numptys commenting who will act like prohibiting the importation of Chinese EVs is being done for data protection or whatever (like it even matters any more), but it is 100% being done purely because the big 3 are scared absolutely to death. It’s the same exact rhetoric that was used back in the
