It’s definitely worth the money for all of the zero times my windows have been broken.

Specifically - subscriptions for software that relies on services external to your car. That I’m ok with. Server and satellite time isn’t free.

Let’s hope they’re as bad at securing these features as they are making infotainment systems so hackers can make short work of getting them unlocked.

The 70's? I know I’m old, but how long ago do you think TNG was?

With this and the data-sharing news this week, it looks increasingly like I’ll be buying used cars from 2016 or older for the rest of my life.

If you are sheeple and don’t balk now, then go report to have a ring put through your nose.

It’s a registered private airfield, MA88 for reference. Looking at the satellite image for it, I’m not sure how a Black Hawk would sneak up on you unless you were tearing ass through small path in the northern unimproved part of the airfield heading directly for the active roadway right next to the airfield, because

No doubt the accident was the snowmobiler’s fault, but the disastrous private medical industry in this country basically forces people to sue anyone and everyone they can in order to cover expensive treatment.

That sort of thing is probably legal, but it definitely seems like the global transportation industry shouldn’t be able to be held hostage by a couple assholes in suits in a corporate boardroom.

The real, actual solution to this is to tie executive pay to median employee pay.

Seems like a case for the property lawyers. Who owns the land, who’s got what rights to pilot what vehicles there, etc?

You could have made that case before this guy’s death, be it suicide or “suicide”. Boeing is getting killed by the same things that would have killed McDonnel Douglas had they not merged. And I made the same point in a reply to another one of the Boeing articles last week, but this is basically the lesson we should

Can Boeing really be considered a “Washington-based plane maker” when they moved their HQ to Chicago 20 years ago and have fractured their operations all over the world?

Not a point worth dying for. Doubly so if you actually wanted to see people brought to justice, which this guy seemed to.

He got Epsteined, and like Epstein they won’t find the killer.  The FBI should look into this not the local police.

Not even Boeing’s famous quality assurance team could have done such a sloppy job. All they’ve done is just bring more attention to the problem.

Even as a gun owner I find it incredible that one can legally own a .50 cal rifle. I’m not sure what possible legitimate use a civilian might have for one of these things, but I suppose if you have a YouTube channel and like to punch big holes in stuff you can’t do much better than a Barrett.

Also, this guy is doing it to make money off his video.

I think the takeaway is that this truck WAS casually advertised as bulletproof, with no further information - the actual information is that it is exactly as bulletproof as sheet steel. There are real, actual armored vehicles out there that have more specific, useful ratings for what they can resist. But, it’s

1) Imagine having the kind of money you can just shoot your new truck
