If hearing that something that falls somewhere in-between “stupid” and “offensive” for millions upon millions of people is crappy branding counts as a “lecture” that hurts you, perhaps some toughening-up of your own is in order, chum?
Lecture?
If my ancestors had been enslaved for hundreds of years, later freed but oppressed, and later legally granted rights but still oppressed by a system of institutionalized racism, I wouldn’t think I was being overly sensitive.
Given a good portion of them are saying racist things, including actual WWII era Nazi slogans, I’d say the ones who are “protectin muh herituge” might be in the wrong crowd.
It already has come. I’m not misrepresenting how language works, we are agreeing. It’s the misgendering folks that are on the outs. There doesn’t need to be any coercion. They’ve already lost.
That wasn’t a threat at all. The opposite, in fact. I have not and will not use them in that particular comment section. I am very, VERY reticent to use them in general, even when I object strongly. My point was that, as I said, I chose to make a comment in order to try to suggest reason, and yes human decency,…
I profoundly disagree with this. Pronouns are gendered. Some languages have more options. Some have words for genders but no pronouns at all. Pronouns, especially personal pronouns, talk about social identity. Chelsea is a she because she identifies as a she. And as for the fact of her sex, which is not gender, even…
I have admin powers on Foxtrot Alpha. I could ban you and every other misgendering commenter. Including the responses so far to my comment. And make it a “safe space.”
Clearly you’re in need of a safe space. Hence the initial reaction to the comment in the first place.

I absolutely agree but while I am stranded here doing phone interviews I have to write something. That’s my job. So I did this. I’m certainly not planning a series on my coldness or my feelings.
International taught me that men like to help women and how to receive the help instead of get all awkward and shut it down how I use to. And International taught me how to tell a man how much I appreciate the help he offers me.
One thing International apparently hadn’t shared with his supporters is how to edit. Good grief.
I just want to point out that you started off by saying the women who say SSM is a cult are“fucking crazy” and then proceeded to write a 10 thousand word single paragraph incoherent ramble.
Here’s the thing: I wasn’t sure, based on the article, what to think at first. However, having read your comment here and others by people getting defensive and decrying this article, I am now 100% sure this is a cult.
And it looked like she married the guy so he could get citizenship in the country or something and he probably was paying her for it.
I want to know why all the women in this group who have written here all sound like valley girls.
I just pointed out that the gears in the header image wouldn’t turn in that arrangement, which makes for an awkward mixed metaphor. Either the woman is going to be crushed, or the gears don’t turn. You can’t have both. Shifting one of the gears over just slightly would solve the problem completely. Like so:
If anyone’s curious, the website for “The Process” is saved on the Wayback Machine here. My favorite part is International Scherick’s logo:
