I cheered for girls’ basketball in high school and college, on top of football, boys’ basketball, and competition. My coach said you cheer for everything or you cheer for nothing.

11 years later and my knee still isn't normal. I saw a girl break her arm at a competition, and many people get carted off of the mat on a stretcher. Pretty sure a girl broke her neck at a competition I was at as a kid, too. It's terribly dangerous, but so much fun.
