There’s a good article on pc gamer that does good job explaining ray tracing and its benefits to lighting, shadows and just overall efficiency. The hopeful thing about raytracing is it should in practice make the game devs jobs easier as it unifies alot of the stuff they’ve had to use tricks/ separate processes in the

I need to train myself to remember about the dismiss button. Haha maybe Lifehacker should put up a dismiss feature awareness article with healthy strategies for dealing with gaslighters. I think I also give people the benefit of the doubt, even when I could see the attempt to derail a tiny voice is saying maybe they

Yah I know I know, it’s actually leads right back into Gita’s article, that need for the dreaded Call Out :(   I know better...

No I simply stated facts. One was a effort to unearth old tweets and bring them to light, the people that did were alt right trolls.

I feel bad about pulling you out of the grays as  I don’t think you are responding in good faith here. My arguement wasn’t about one deserving it or another at all. I never said either was good or bad. The point was that actions on twitter can have real world consequences no matter which side of the political spectrum

Yeah, I listed Gunn as an example of non celebrities (Alt right trolls mainly) leveraging the power of the platform to create a campaign which cost him his job, and Roseanne as separate example because it wasn’t a concerted campaign but a visceral and immediate reaction to what she put out there by the media/populous

A great retrospective on the history of the mechanisms that underlay the way our current social media dialogue takes place. I agree with like 99% of what was written, but did find this somewhat contentious:

A great looking game, I really liked the Afterlife areas in the Curse of the Pharaohs expansion. They all had such an ethereal quality almost like wandering through a dream.

Is Iconoclasts more Metroidvania or shooter? I’ve heard differing things about it an am interested, just want to be sure before dropping the $

Whats a good running app? I run every other day but am in dire need of guidance, and I love arbitrary goals.

Hey, at 1:47 I’m pretty sure that was a Tesla cameo!

I picked up on that immediately. The whole historical documentary approach harkens back to RDR.

Correct! I’m guessing it will coincide with the inevitable cross generation release of this game with the new consoles. I do hate waiting, but they did such a good job on GTAV that I believe it will be worthwhile.

Not going to attack you, just disagree kinda. I’ve felt for a long time that certain games should cost more, because as you mentioned the labour intensive and expansiveness. I’ve mainly thought this about huge RPGs (Think Witcher) but I would definitely include Rockstar’s mainline games in that category. I do agree

I’ve been a Dead Cells player since the early days of EA on steam. The game has evolved significantly since then, but I still find myself loading up on Brutality (red). As a general rule of thumb for my (hack crazy playstyle) I double up my red compared to the other two in my level up. I also find myself  rushing the

Not sure how it works on xbox, but game forums are a great place to find non jerks to crew up with. I’ve friended earnest players on steam forums and have had enjoyable gameplay experiences w/ them.

Loving all of this No Man’s Sky coverage. These articles from Gita have single handly convinced me to get back into the game after a long dormancy.  Still stuck with my original craft, not sure how to find blueprints for a new one yet, but having fun all the same.

I do love surrealist jaunts in video games. From wildly different genres, I love Rock of Ages and Zeno Clash for this reason. I will be tracking this, thx!

I am so so happy about getting Yakuza on my platform of choice. Add to that Rocket League allowing me to party up with my friends that own it on Xbox, there is a light showing at the end of the platform segmentation tunnel.
