Wow, the look on that kids face in the hug photo. He’s never going to forget that!

OK what does “five clicks up from trailer trash” even mean? How many clicks before you reach middle class or royalty? I’m just trying to figure out what the units of measurement for click are.

As usual, a black woman smiles, is gracious and shines all the while wypipo get in the dirt/mud in an attempt to degrade her. Keep your head up and crown on sis. They hate to see you shine so make sure they see it every single day!

I was going to say the same thing. Flour goes bad? I have been doing something wrong for many many years.

From someone in the South, keep your flour in the freezer, it lasts FOREVER in there.

You can keep it in the freezer and it will be good for practically forever. At room temperature you might eventually get bugs in there.

I don’t have space for hoarding! I live in Seattle, Ground Zero of this, and sorry, but it’s a one bedroom apartment. The fridge is full and the pantry’s full. The closet is stuffed with cat food and litter and salmon treats. I’m just going to have to depend on the kindness of strangers not to snap up every last

I stocked up on the saline solution and peroxide sanitizer I need to maintain my scleral lens so as not be visually disabled.

In Mexico you don't take your shoes off, unless you are asked, which is rare.

I once sat through a speech (Toastmasters) by a man from Mexico who complained about how awful Americans are for making him take his shoes off when he goes into their house. I was baffled. I’ve only ever been asked to take my shoes off when I entered the home of an immigrant or first generation family.

What?  I clean my own floors, yes. I don’t expect my guests to clean the floors, just like I don’t expect them to do their dishes.

I’m going to be the contrarian here:

Those have a NAME?? My Grandma and her sisters used to make these for the whole family and we always wore them in winter. We just called them “footsie-things,” though, never knowing any better. There are definitely no Finns in the family, either.   :)

In theory I don’t mind complying with a request to remove my winter boots or shoes that I happen to be wearing....BUT every time I’ve done that my hosts have provided nothing for me to put on my feet. This means I am forced to walk around all evening in thin socks, often on cold tile or wood floors in the middle of

I think the point of that tmz link is that Love Is Blind is NOT fake, that the couples legitimately got married in November 2018, which is when they filmed the show . Unless I’m missing something??

Surely rural Vermont and the Seattle metro area have different trends going.  All the teens I see look like some unholy nightmare of the shit I wore in the 90s.  Go into Urban Outfitters, and be horrified by all the wide-wale corduroy and crushed velour and mock-turtle necks...

It’s not just rural kids though, I live in Seattle and the teenagers at the high school I work at all dress like I did in high school in the 90s. It’s all choker necklaces, and flannel, as far as the eye can see.

I went into an Urban Outfitters recently and it was like stepping into a time machine to 1994. They had bucket hats! Bucket hats!
