I can’t for the life of me find it now, but there was an NPR article about tariffs impacting farmers that included a quote by one farmer that, paraphrasing, said “Yeah his tariffs are causing us trouble now but Trump will somehow make up for it in the future”.
It’s not fair to judge the protesters based solely on his claim, he’s only been able to tell a general recollection and no specifics. We might ruin these poor protesters’ lives just propagating his allegation when he can’t give the exact time, how many protesters there were, and what he was wearing.
Trump is a horrific human being and President, but the level of ire I have for him does not compare to my ire for that crowd. If not for the brain-dead dipshits out there chanting lines from 2012, Trump would still be an overblown TV personality.

If the US falls to whatever dystopian outlook is plausible, that will be the beginning and not the end. At no point during this fall will the military-industrial complex weaken and once opposition is easily drowned out or simply executed they will proceed to spread “freedom” to the planet.

Micro-targeted Russian interference did not cause >40% of voters to not vote, or 26% of the country vote for an orange turd. It is a problem, it is not the problem, and I would say it’s not even the largest problem with the 2016 election.
There’s not. And I’ve no expectation of Manchin suddenly becoming a half-decent human being. But as long as he wears that (D) it’s one more seat towards the Democrats getting the majority, a majority that can change a lot despite his votes. If his seat is the one that tips the scales, his vote becomes far less impactful because more senior Democrats assume positions that can control dockets, schedules, and chair committees. He won’t be able to vote on shit takes if shit takes never make it to the floor.
