Anyone know if these dicounted TouchPads are coming to the UK? I would really like one for aroung ~£70!

How has nobody not mentioned Memento! Nolan's best film easily in my opinion!

I don't know why you guys at Lifehacker think Thunderbird doesn't intergrate well with OSX? It works nicely with Growl to provide new message previews, as well as a simple badge (like the iPhone ones) in the menu bar that indicates how many new emails you have, something which Windows doesn't do.

Is the "Holy Shit!" thing really necessary? Usually I don't mind about this sort of thing, but it's the first thing you see upon visiting the site. Anyone could potentially see it unwittingly...

Why is the world (particularly Germany) shutting down its nuclear reactors?!? It is the only feasible solution for when we run out of fossil fuels! Everyone loves a bit of wind, hydroelectric, solar power et cetera, but it simply won't be enough to meet global needs when the time comes!

Who really needs push notifications for tweets anyway? What are you going to receive on Twitter that's so important it can't wait half an hour for you to check manually?

Ah well, not too bothered. Spotify is all I need!

Why? Give it time and we'll get to the point when they all do. Better to be safe now...

For maximising windows, I would recommend ShiftIt, Whitson.

Definitely glad I read through the comments before I dived in. It looks like a right pain to upgrade! NOT for me!

Wow, the Mono Mode for iPhone is a great tip and I'm surprised I never knew about it! Over the summer I work on a production line making computers for schools and we are only allowed one 'phone in at anytime, so this is a great help. Many thanks to Mr. Archer and you, Whitson!

Does anyone (like me) prefer Read It Later to Instapaper? I just like the way it intergrates with Firefox on my PC much better!

I'd recommend following Whitson and Adam on Twitter. That's how I always hear about them when they're live, as you're right, I never see them in time on my Google Reader feeds...

Thank you very much for this!

Can you recommend a script (or something similar) that will list all the file names in a folder in Windows and save them to a text file?

I use a combination of Sophos free anti-virus and the in-built firewall to protect my Mac. Do you think this is enough for now?

You could try WinRAR or 7-Zip which has this functionality and much more built-in...

Thanks for this, very helpful. Only thing I would say is be wary with Soluto as I think it is at least somewhat to blame for my corrupted Bonjour service. Although this is probably largely my fault, it now means I have to extract all iTunes installs with WinRAR and manually delete Bonjour before I can update iTunes.

Beyerdynamic DT770s are the best full-size headphones I have ever bought! Nothing even comes close (in my opinion)...

Do you really think the typical Mac user reads Lifehacker?
