OooOoooOoo this looks properly good. I never liked how the front of the 458 or 599 looked, but the combination of the two seems to have done wonders for the styling. Its aggressive, but still cohesive and flowing. Think more Aston than Lambo.

Exactly. People shooting video prior to DSLR video almost never talked about ISO and always talked about dB of gain. Its essentially the same thing. a 3dB change = 1 stop difference (if my math is correct...). Many DV camcorders had about 12 dB of gain, so that would mean they had a 4 stop ISO range (100 - 1600 if…
I'm surprised there isn't an accessible total kill switch (or maybe I just haven't read anything mentioning it) on this car that physically decouples the battery from the rest of the subsystems. I would want that just as a safety measure in case of an accident. On the other hand, this wouldn't completely solve the…
Yes. Its like film in photography. People are going to whine and moan about its passing, but the old technology, whatever its benefits, will be surpassed by something that can do everything the old tech could and do it faster and better than anything with human intervention would be capable of. There will always be…
200,000 miles / 22 mpg combined * $4/gal for gas = $36,363.63/yr for gas. Yeah.... no. Give me a wimpy Honda or VW any day if I know I'm gonna be putting that kinda miles on it.
I think I can sum up my feelings about this with this sentence:
^this
Its gonna be hard to not compare this game to DE:Human Revolution even though they're really two completely different genres which happen to share the same perspective. Unfortunately even though I'm really rooting for this game to be good it looks like its gonna be a bit of a has-been when put next to Human…
This is a problem of where the company decides it wants to make its money. Google wants eyeballs on ads so they're going to keep upgrading android in order to entice more people (and therefore more eyeballs on ads). Phone manufacturers want you to buy their stuff. This means getting the stuff out the door and…
Unfortunately not. The only space sim that I can think of which came out in the last 5 years of any worth is X3. I love X3, but its not as much of a pick up and play game as Freespace 2 was. Freespace 2 was an interesting game in that it was as simple or as complicated as you wanted it to be, and if you spent the…
Revivals you say? Give me Freespace 3 with an ex-Volition guy leading it, or Homeworld 3 with the full force of Relic behind it. While I played games like Kings Quest a little I really missed the point and click adventure boat by a few years and instead caught the space sim boat right when it was getting good. I…
No... thats just quintessentially Mazda. A bit odd, lots of fun, rabid following among those in the know, but lacking true mass appeal.
No, and last week's episode of Top Gear pretty much nailed why. F1 is a sport of the elite. NASCAR is a sport of the commons. The coasts might embrace F1 just because of its worldy aspects but most of middle America will ignore it just because its the sport of a bunch of rich 'urpeans, like polo. Then again, golf…
Yup... this pretty much checks all the boxes for me. This is the car that the Mazdaspeed 3 should have been (though I would want the backseats still there, just make them removable).
why do I suddenly hear the voice of Tim the Tool Man Tailor grunting my head?
Hydrogen is lost as well, but there's so damn much of it its not a big loss. Both of those get "lost" because they float to the top of the atmosphere as a result of being less dense than nitrogen, oxygen and CO2 (the major components of "air") and then are swept away by solar winds, which instead of blowing in air…
This isn't Google's fault, but rather Verizon's and more specifically Qualcomm's for not open sourcing the chipset drivers. So much for any future CDMA Nexus phones. I'll have to keep that in mind during the next upgrade. Till then, my Verizon GNex will keep chugging along running AOKP or whatever community build…
This either means EA is going all out in making sure this IP sticks or they're afraid they've already screwed the pooch in development are just trying to cover their bases. Either way, at least we get a game that many have been looking forward to without the stupid online pass. I call it a win.
I just hope Relic makes it out of this ok. I've liked every game they've made (on pc anyway), and I hope that without a Warhammer 40k license maybe they can go back to say.... Homeworld? Oh man would I love a Homeworld sequel or reboot.
I think honda screwed themselves with the mileage rating on this car. If you take a look at the website the hybrid is rated at 44/44. That means the customer is going to expect no less than 44 MPG since the city mileage is normally worse than highway and this usually sets a good minimum for daily driving. My car…
