So yes US regulations do require you to be in line of site of a window. But some cars made for multiple markets can just have certain window functions turned on and off. For instance on my 2017 focus st I can turn on a setting that allows me to open and close all my windows with my key fob “Global Windows”. This

They even throw in the aftermarket “FREE CANDY” decal for free. Seriously though they are useful as hell, especially when it is raining or snowing.

I can attest to this. When it snows and I back our cars into our uneven driveway and park them on the tops of the humps so you get a running start when you go to leave. This requires the parking brake. Her car now gets left in it’s divets... Which means I dig it out.
