There is no way the 2dr will be able to pull 5k. Its still up in the air if the 4dr will even be able to pull that much, at best, that may be its upper limit. The 2dr is far too short for pulling that much weight. You really feel the weight towing behind something that size

I really don’t like that slogan. It brings to mind a drunken workforce hanging from the rafters and swinging from cranes all the while welding, bolting and riveting as their fancy takes them. Either that or being built in a forest clearing. Neither are true but neither are good images for a new vehicle that's going to

Not sure how many people I speak for, but personally I am a Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited owner... and I love my jeep... but the idea that maybe I could have a jeep that’s not a Chrysler product... makes me Christmas Eve excited.

Agree

Although I am surely not the first to comment about this... There is a place on Kinja for political spin and bias, and it isn’t Jalopnik. I had a conversation over the weekend with 4 friends who are all car guys, and we all agreed that the content on Jalopnik is straying further and further from what we want to read.

Don’t count on it as the two door Wrangler is only rated to 2000 lb.

It had started booming before (mostly it seems from IG hunters) but keeping people indoors has definitely made people want to be outdoors more.

I’ve been biking for years and have gotten by just fine with the occasional “on your left!” but last month I finally broke down and bought a bell. Waaaaaay more people on my trails now than before and a surprisingly high number of them have no idea what “on your left!” means.

“There’s not a lot of vehicles playing in this space. We’ve got the equity and the credibility,” Mark Grueber, Bronco’s consumer-marketing manager, told reporters in a briefing last week. “We just see it as an ideal time.”

The sub brand thing could be interesting going forward. Mustangs are all performance, Broncos all off road. Whats next? Expeditions all people haulers.

Wrong... They will still net the “Lifestyle” buyers which do represent a large portion of the Jeep buyers.

You know, they used to say that about Toyota, but there are a lot of former tacoma people out there since the introduction of good trucks like the ZR2 and Gladiator. Never rest on your laurels and always defend you turf.

Not if you consider that the Ranger will probably need to be replaced anyway by 2024 and Bronco could theoretically have more positive brand equity.

Jeep people are Jeep people, but the majority of people buying Wranglers are not true Jeep people. I have a good friend who is leasing a Wrangler but would rather have a Bronco.

I’m not one of the Mustang purists who is bothered by Ford bastardizing the name with the Mustang Mach-E. But I am someone who is bothered that they didn’t name it the Galaxie Lightning. It was right there! Would’ve been the coolest name on the market.

The Bronco Sport looks like a tiny Land Rover Disco, which is not a bad thing.

I’m not the greatest at lightening up a silhouette photo, but even this much reveals a damn good looking 2-door.

Is the Sport just a rebranded Escape?  Looks nothing like its siblings.

The new models also come as pandemic-weary Americans look for safe ways to get outdoors, Grueber added.
