Yeah, every time I’ve heard about one of these stories, I’ve thought what an abuse of power that was. Even if it was benign, it was still an abuse of power.

Absolutely. I’ve been pulled over in multiple cars over the years simply because the officer thought it was a cool or unusual car. On a related note I have also been pulled over for lack of an inspection sticker on a few occasions because I was in the process of fixing the car to where it would pass, and got away with…
Any discipline they may have received has been kept under wraps
Any discipline they may have received has been kept under wraps, although the investigating officer recommended “non-punitive letters of instruction.”
Some of us never stopped. I still rewind my YouTube videos. Mostly for nostalgic reasons. Mostly.
Anthropologists will look back and declare that once we had to stop rewinding and being kind to each other, the crumbling of the empire began.
I love Audis. Beautiful design and finish. However the one thing about them that sets them apart from Mercedes is: you rarely see an old Audi.
Exactly. That’s why the bottom falls out of the value on these; you are still paying to maintain and repair a 6-figure car.
Some exec at Nike has a black S65 coupe (at least that’s my assumption with a NKE vanity plate) I see on the commute in to work some days and it has a presence you wouldn’t expect from the pictures here. Bentley Continentals are what stupid young money that wants to get noticed gets, this is what you get when you’re…
They’re imposing and elegant cars in person as well. I just don’t see them aging as well as the W215 CL, which was a stunner new, a stunner when the W216 came out, and a stunner now.
I agree with this about 95%, but I think the one argument I sort of get is that, with Ford announcing a new Bronco, GM could’ve taken advantage of the recognizable Blazer name to make something that echoes what the full-sized Blazer of yore was capable of.
That said, they’ll print money with the new Blazer crossover,…
Dude, if automakers bent to the will of the dipshits on Jalopnik, 100% of them would be bankrupt.
Call it Nomad, which honestly would be a great name for an off-road SUV, and watch it piss off all the guys who still think the Bel Air is pretty cool.
This is much my thought. The Trailblazer name never earned a good reputation to begin with and the Blazer name already died with a whimper on the S10 platform.
It’s a nice looking crossover. There’s nothing wrong with that. I bet it does it’s job well, which is moving people and stuff in relative comfort and style.
...I actually kinda like how it looks in this spec. Not that I’d buy one, but there are worse options on the road.
This really doesn’t rustle me one bit. Honestly it’s fine. Let it be economical. Maybe the world will be a better place with small SUVs!
Honestly who really cares about the Blazer and Trailblazer nameplates. When were they impressive vehicles to begin with
