As numerous people have said it is a lot different when you get rain storms every couple weeks versus this being the first one in 3 months. The roads are drastically slipperier.

Still would have issues. The lap was recorded on a 90 degree day. It is 60 today. There was rain a couple hours ago and while the track is mostly dry, traction is still iffy in some spots. There is a 20mph breeze today. And so on will all result in needing to drive a bit differently on a given day as the limits will…
People here are crazy. How many of the cars that people list do you think can make it another 40 years? And can you imagine what the price will be for parts/maintence?
One of the autonomous engineers basically said that. In pretty much every case, the right answer is to slam on the brakes. You aren’t going to be driving 70mph and have kids jump in front of your car. You are going to be going 35mph in a city. If you have enough time to switch lanes, you have time to scrub a lot of…
Scion.:) It is amazing how MSRP affects people. Pay 100k for 100k car and you are paying “Top Dollar”. Raise the price of the samecar to 120k, give the person a 20k discount, and now they feel like they are getting a steal despite writing the same 100k check.
The Mercedes R class didn’t. The fact that everyone wants to call their minivan a cross over doesn’t change what they are.
7 to 10k hardly seems like a deal breaker to me. Don’t confuse Googles prototype with a production system.
You forgot the R63. You know when someone at Mercedes thought shoving 500hp into a minivan was a good idea:) Obviously a lot depends how old you are. If your dream cars are from the 60s or 70s, you have slightly lower power standards than the people of the 80s,90s.
Last I checked you can’t go much over 400 miles in a Subaru without needing downtime given the size of the gas tank:)
Obviously it is the unlimited mileage power train warranty makes this worth doing it but the 3500/yr in gas savings is 28k of savings over 8 years also narrows the gap. I assume Quebec has cheap hydro power and expensive gas. Places like NYC might have different math.
If the police officers all had porsche cayenne turbos there wouldn’t have been accident either.
Why do you think parking that truck is remotely hard? Seriously how different do you think it is than any of the autoparking systems in existence today. The problem is well defined compared to something like driving in traffic. The part you really need the driver for is the 5 miles between interstate and…
