That's a great point. We can all probably agree that no one really did a great job. Maybe the poor editor who I guarantee knew this movie was crap early on yet had to finish anyways.

No, we can blame Jason for bombing, it was his movie, his responsibility. Effie was just a bad pre-production producer. She wasn't as bad on set.
I'm not saying you're wrong. All I'm saying is when Farrelly said he thought he was making progress Effie's behavior scuttled it. I just felt she acted unprofessionally when it was conceivable one of her main hurdles may have been solved. Of course Jason afterwards is going to say he wasn't going to compromise…
Actually yes, despite him not wanting to cave he took a real liking to Peter and considering time was running short I think had Effie said "Keep working on him" in the end he would have. He knew Peter and respected his opinion unlike his feelings for Effie. Point is, we'll never know, Effie's temper tantrum…
She WAS responsible for chasing off the one talented comedic mind on the project who at the time was on the verge of solving one of her biggest problems, Jason accepting digital shooting.
OMG, that pool scene was amateur hour. Horrible sequence.

Move over Amy Schumer, this movie was the real TRAIN WRECK.
Your post should have been written in film, great summary.
My 50 inch HD screen didn't help, it was still terrible.
I thought Thomas Jane was good in the lead.
