I would call people living in violent neighborhoods survivors - there have been studies showing that even just living somewhere with high levels of violence can cause PTSD-type trauma in kids.

I’m 35 and I’ve never had a serious relationship. I’m now actively trying to make changes in my life so that I can try to foster-to-adopt. It may not be the “traditional” family but this is my life and I’m not going to sit around and wait for something that may o rmay not happen.

Do you just eat the pumpkin mix on its own? Or use it as a topping. I love canned pumpkin based foods, and I am curious.

Microwave burritos are my staple - tortilla, canned refried beans, cheese and then microwave -add sour cream and roll up.

It would be more accurate to say the media has been starved - there are lots of journalists who care deeply about reporting accurate and important news. An Escape from Alcatraz triathlon already exists. I think one guy died during it a couple years back. But at least Alcatraz isn’t an ACTIVE prison.

It’s interesting to me, because my parents are the type who are willing to help with the big things but won’t do the everyday stuff. I’m incredibly lucky that they paid for my undergrad and I don’t have any debt from that, and that they did help me with rent for a time right out of college but now that I’m in my 30s?

I think I remember asking my mom something like that .... when I was 4.

Sounds like offerings to me. Some of the spirits in voodoo get offerings like that, I believe.
