Let's not conflate salamandering with twerking. For the love of Big Freedia I urge caution in these times.

Caitlin Moran? Really? The same woman who said she didn't give a shit about the lack of WOC on the show Girls? Why would you allow her to post something on here? This isn't even good, and most people here agree. None of the advice is helpful and it's pretty condescending.

I'd love to read Kara Brown's take on this nonsense.

A bunch of irresponsible, heteronormative, fat shaming bullshit? Cause that's what I got from it.

"Why don't you just be … nice, instead?" a boy will say to you. "Just kind, and chilled, and interested in life?" You are so impressed with this Zen piece of advice that, eventually, you marry the boy.

I mean, all of Thomas Hardy's work should come with a disclaimer like, "Do not read around sharp objects." or "Please consult a Doctor before attempting."

I now want to see somebody call her that to her face or at a formal event. "Our special guests for this dinner/fundraiser are Dick and L-Dawg Cheney."

I'm thrilled for her, but annoyed about the fact that American teachers - who still skew female - have been talking about this for years, and it took a bunch of men (the writer, the girl's teacher, the subject, Jobs, to whom she's being compared) to bring the issue to national/international attention.
