I actually fully appreciate LucasFilm’s response, particularly the bit about meaningfully enhancing the scene for the viewer being “the best possible use of special effects”. That’s exactly how I felt watching the movie yesterday and seeing Carrie Fisher/Leia Organa utter such powerful words at the end of the film.…

WAS A New Hope Vader all that menacing? A friend and I were sadly hoping--knowing that Rogue One was not making out of this movie alive--that even *a few* of them would die by Vader’s hands so he could live up to his big-bad reputation. Instead he just chokes another one of his subordinates and let’s some no-names…

You’re asking him to do something against the Sith Code. Against fatherhood. Against his humanity and his soul. That’s what’s outof place here.
