I remember when Robot Unicorn Attack stopped working on my ipad, and it never got updated. I was so sad. :(

this just in: Kojima asks the filmmakers why his documentary is so short, and they have to explain to him the concept of “pacing”. he was last overheard asking “what’s a film editor?”

Helldivers is good despite it’s live-service model, not because of it. In fact, it could be better without the season pass shenanigans

yeah, turns out live service isn’t the problem, it’s game quality that matters

That’s literally what it is. Sony has to release a spiderman movie every couple of years or they lose the license

I assumed that they push out whatever they have due to the old agreement that if Sony didn’t use a Marvel character they own in a movie, the rights would revert back to Marvel.

I didn’t start playing it until December after it had seen multiple patches, and while I have encountered various glitches (from relatively minor to some fairly serious ones) and still do to this day (I’m just at the end of Act 2 now), all in all I’ve been extremely pleased with the experience. Perhaps the (well

At this point I assume these movies must be some sort of producers level money grab.   Or whatever licensing agreement Sony has with Marvel requires releases constantly and they are just forced to put any script they have into production.

I’d observe that guardrails aren’t really designed to stop ANYTHING that’s heading straight at them at highway speeds. They are designed to keep cars traveling parallel to the rail from driving further off the road if they veer off course for some reason.

What in the hell is happening to this site? I feel like its on life support. Did Nice price or no Dice just disappear? Our avatars got deleted. And a lot of stories now verge on pure click bait. Depressing.

They have copyright, what they don’t have is the trademark. Seems pedantic but it is a meaningful distinction

The Yakuza/LaD series have historically been relatively progressive in its depiction of female characters(and other minorities, such as trans people, or other societal topics), with the only major problem being the general lack of major female characters when compared to how many male characters there have been.

I love these games and the recent RPG turn, but the New Game+ price gating is some nasty shit that makes me not want to buy it on principle.

Very interested in giving this a go before Dragon's Dogma 2; been playing Tactics Ogre and Symphony of War so Vanillaware making a narrative strategy game should be good. Only complaint I have is it not coming to PC. I’ll buy it for PS5 but as soon as it ‘works’ on the Steam Deck that will probably be my preferred way

Why is almost nobody talking about Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber, which this game is so clearly inspired by? This looks like a spiritual successor to the amazing Ogre Battle series.

I, for one, welcome our new Unicorn Overlord

If it is an expanded Ogre Battle with unique mechanics and the gorgeous Vanillaware style, it will be a must buy from me.

It strikes me as a modern take on Ogre Battle.

there used to be something like that...but people complained about Valve “Gatekeeping”...so they changed it to $100 and you can put up your game.

One aspect of e-sports that is always an issue: If the underlying game/IP goes out of vogue and/or is killed by devs, your entire system crumbles in a (Relative) flash.
