How much did Sony pay you for this article?
Actually, there are two things not taken into account here.
Read the article again. The game was downloaded to another console that it wasn't purchased on by an account that was signed in as a guest.
Except it's not even close to always-online DRM if you actually purchased the game on that account.
People, as per usual with the Xbox One, are making a much bigger deal of this than it actually is.
I swore I wouldn't buy another Assassin's Creed game after III, and I was all for sticking to it until a copy of Assassin's Creed IV came with my PS4 (it was the only bundle I could get). And amazingly, after a series which to my reckoning has managed only one pretty good game, and a host of disappointing or frankly…
Completely agree. I went back and forth so many times between PS4 and Xbox One, but ultimately went with the One because it felt like more than another game system. I know the TV integration and extras aren't for everyone but I've enjoyed being able to quickly go from game to TV, or even snap TV to the side while…
You know, I hated the One's design at first, but it's starting to grow on me. I'm a Playstation/PC guy personally, but I like how it's a box, but shouts to the world that it doesn't give a flying shit that it's just a box. It's... Confident, I suppose. After all, the external appearance really doesn't matter.
As somebody who was really hesitant to purchase any of the next gen systems, I have to say I've been extremely pleased with the Xbox One. The hardware feels and looks great. I love the boxiness and the diagonal lines - would make a kick ass computer case. The controller feels wonderful in the hand and the rumbling…
Microsoft announced this morning that they've sold two million shiny new Xbox Ones, and if your immediate reaction, dear Kotaku reader, is to say something about the PS4, please stop.
Not a single company has ever been one hundred percent truthful about anything. Your post stopped being neutral the second you wholly focused in on one company. You can not be neutral while showing preferential treatment toward an individual. That's simply a fact. I own both consoles neither of mine have had any…
Oh I am a gamer & will always be, I have spent numerous rolls of quarters in the arcade, built countless gaming rigs, I have either owned or bricked, Pong, Texas Instruments Ti99, Atari 800XL, 2600, 5200, Jaguar, Vectrex, Coleco Vision, Intellivision, Commodore 64, Tandy 1000, NES, SNES, Game Cube, 64, GB, GBA, DS…
I can't have a double standard to rule out a manufacturers console, I have a front loading Sony 3D Blueray player that did the same thing out of the box, I exchanged it & it works, I went through 7 launch date PS2's because Sony lied about their cheaper defective optical drives & I'm not ruling out Sony's PS4 as a…
"Let's put this in context: Microsoft says they've sold a million Xbox Ones. Even if just 1% of consumers had issues, that'd be 10,000 faulty units—and we don't even know if the count is that high. Plus, launch consoles tend to come in hot. Massive hardware launches always have their problems. Just ask any brand new…
"That means this shit is for real. It's out there. No way is it only 1%." It's been two days, and as the article says, there is NO EVIDENCE it is widespread. Three games journalists out of hundreds who received xbones does not mean its a large number. Even if TEN journalists got bad drives, it wouldn't mean anything…
I explained that an anti-microsoft rant was short-sighted precisely because everything is still within acceptable limits. You are jumping to conclusions, ergo short-sighted. If that isn't perfectly clear, then you seriously need help.
This post started seemingly neutral in stance and quickly escalated into a passive hate letter toward Microsoft.
so the ps4 has hardware issues and you say thats whatever. xbox one has some and you start thinking it's a big deal. makes perfect sense
You literally took the time out of your day to make a comment like that? Sod.
