Had no idea there was a sequel to Hamsterdance, which sounds awfully familiar to Cotton-Eye’d Joe, another ear worm Ive been trying to get out go my head for 20 years.

Before the web, or AOL or Prodigy, I used to go online with Gopher. I’m in St. Paul, and the protocol was created at the University of Minnesota. They had a dial-up server, and when I got tired of BBSing, Gopher was a great resource to find scholarly texts, travel guides, and other things you can find with Google now.
Tell me more about this drinking game...
Nope, you SING it! Moooth-errrr-raaaa-AH!
Damn kid. You say “MOOOOTHRA!!!!” Not “Mothra.”
High time. We need more pictures like this
So if they have Tilly wearing one of those, does that make her Skant-Tilly clad?
IIRC The evidence suggests T.Rex was probably scaly on its belly, legs, and head. There still might have been feathers on its back, although we don’t know for sure (other Tyrannosaurid species were feathered, so it’s not a huge stretch). I guess that means that last picture is probably the most accurate.
Had to happen in The Menagerie otherwise the episode is impossible since the Enterprise left at high warp and the shuttle was able to catch up to them. Without warp the shuttle would have taken centuries to get there and hit near light speed and result in a young Kirk meeting dead Enterpise crew.
You Sir, have truly made my life & day immeasurably better w/ your “FABULOUS T-Rex”. I have had a real crappy day. And I just laughed so hard. OMG. And your chirping T-Rex....😂😂😂😂 You are brilliant. Thanks man, I needed that laugh!!!
...although this is hard to resist.
They didn’t allow for the possibility that T. rex might have looked simply fabulous.
Yes they were warp capable.
That’s the after the fact justification used in the continuity to explained why it worked when we know it wasn’t true. Or one of them anyway.
The whole visual acuity based on movement thing was a legit theory proposed by an actual paleontologist a bit before Crichton wrote the book. It just was never really supported…
+1 for the UFO reference! I want an assignment on that moonbase! Interceptors on alert!
Yeah, you know that Spock. Always so chatty about his personal life. I’m amazed he didn’t talk about Michael constantly on every episode.
The entire first season comes to mind. And what is wrong with integrating established characters (that didn’t get enough story the first time around) and giving them new life in a unique story set in the same universe of a franchise?
