If only we were warned about our intelligence agencies stockpiling vulnerabilities like this earlier, we could have done something about it!

I think this was a good episode. It’s slightly irksome to see people on other sites be so down about not just this episode but this season so far as a whole. This is why we can’t have nice things because people can’t recognize good storywriting anymore. All the masses want is non-stop action and character deaths…

“Space: the final frontier” - The Doctor, Doctor Who

Strong episode. As opposed to people we don’t care about dying it opened with the universal primal fear of not being able to breathe. This provided immediacy to the viewers.

My favorite is the Deep Field.

Already really liking Bill, she’s a solid addition. First thing is that, at least as far as we can tell, there’s nothing supernaturally special about her. IMO, the funniest line of the episode: Bill to the Doctor: “Why were you running like a penguin with it’s ass on fire?”

She was relatively young and working in a canteen, that means she’s likely to be on chip duty.

I liked the episode in the end. Took me a while to get into it, but the situation grew on me. I quite liked the analogy of Bill’s first adventure with the Doctor- it was about her relationship with an alien which wore multiple faces, wanted to show her the universe, and would probably put her in terrible danger by…

That final scene got me. When Bill asked the Doctor if he knew what it was like to have his own mind wiped and Clara’s theme played as he struggled to fill in the giant gap in his mind that is Clara. I will admit... that sequence won me over.

Thought that was the Movellans, haven’t seen them in ages. Obviously “The Vault” will be the season’s MacGuffin until it’s not. Love the desk photos.
