Is it just me or does the person with Matt Smith in the first picture look like the actor James Corden who played Craig Owens in the Doctor Who episode "The Lodger"? Here's his Wiki:

If anyone would like to e-read At the Mountains of Madness by H. P. Lovecraft, you can do so for free. Almost of his works are public domain. Here's a link to it via Feedbooks in various e-formats. I think it's my favorite by HPL:
Del-Torro & Lovecraft, a perfect pairing from beyond! This makes me so happy, I had to listen to The Shoggoth Song.
Moth Man is one hella scary movie! Note to self, if landline telephones which have been pulled out of the wall begin to ring, do not answer them.
For anyone interested in the whole controversy of the re-classification of Pluto, I'd like to suggest the NOVA Episode The Pluto Files, which can be watched for free on-line here:
Janeway :)
@noendernemesis: That's a pretty good idea you have there about an io9 article about him. I was just thinking you should have hashtagged your post with #tips to call it to the attention of the editors and it might happen. Alternately, you could go over to Tips under Forums and post the idea.
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and call shenanigans on this whole supposed movie. I first thought it was someone's bad idea of a joke, then was convinced by articles like this one that it will really be made and shown. Then I went to the movie's official web-site, keep in mind anyone can put up a website & make…
I'm trying so hard not to enter the words "petrodactyl erotica" from the last paragraph into a search engine. Rule 34 says it must exist, and I do not want to know . . .
I'm on board with that too, please?
To paraphrase a common saying, stuff happens, stuff has happened, stuff will just keep happening. If stuff didn't happen when it was supposed to, it would lead to a paradox. That would really be a stuff-storm!
In the picture posted above, for some reason William Fichtner, reminds me strongly of a younger version of Christopher Walken.
Yeah, the quality of after-market parts has really improved . . .
I think a good example of what you are discussing is the movie Pan's Labyrinth. The little girl is essentially a victim/hero. The monsters are not nearly as monstrous as the humans, especially The Capitan. The ending is steeped in loss, but the loss is mitigated. And you so want to see the monster (The Captain)…
Those are so wrong! So funny too!
Good point, but one must think the Doctor can relive himself anywhere in time or space!
As a corollary, This makes me think that there likely a few key historical events that would really have been improved by someone dumping human wastes all over them.
Home-made Amish chicken and dumplings is worth the drive from Alpha Centauri . . .
I think there is one sub-Saharan African tribe that historically had women who have multiple spouses. It was a matriarchal society, where women owned the most valuable property (their cattle herds). Interestingly, it was almost reversed society from ours. Young men dressed and acted in ways to attract the attention…
Hardware also had a really epic soundtrack. The whole premise of the M.A.R.K. 13 was really cool, and the build up to its murderous rampage was pretty well-done. I always thought the movie didn't the the credit it was due.
