@Tracy Ham and Eggs: Sounds more like something Captain Jack would be involved in :-)

@DIOX-HOL-STER: 4D could be worse, penises coming at you through both Time & Space!
@Rawrnosaourous: Just don't sit in the same row as Pee Wee Herman!
@worsethannormal: Use at will, a friend of mine from Texas taught me that one.
@Bootknife-Jackson: As far as civil-unions having the exact same weight as marriage, I think this varies widely. Maybe in some US states, this may be the case.
@Joshua A.C. Newman: Agreed! A majority vote on civil rights of a minority is equivalent to two foxes and a chicken voting on what to have for dinner.
The tiny elephant in #3 got me thinking about a new idea I'd like Mr. Baxter to explore. A small aquarium or goldfish bowl, with a tiny whale in it blowing spray out of it's blow-hole into the air. I envision a blue-whale, but a humpback or sperm-whale might be cool too. The aquarium should have some silly accessories…
@♠ Final ♠ Tougher then tough times.: I was thinking of what to call the being in # 7, I finally decided it must be a Bunnytaur.
The strangest thing about # 1 is the milk-crate the astronauts are using to carry thier gear. In the future we will still use actual dairy milk-crates as stackable storage on spacecraft?
@Steve Williams: It became an interesting and educational challenge. I also learned the band Wolfmother has an album called Sonically Yours.
@Steve Williams: It's credited to "Sonically Yours" at about about 3:35 min. into the video.
@Mooncow27: What conflicting information in Wikipedia? No, never!
@Mooncow27: I think this guy is actually meant to represent another related species, a Styracosaurus. Here's further information:
Like other commenters, I'm cautiously optimistic about this. So long as GDT directs, and James Cameron sticks to special effects, it might be the "The Lovecraft Movie"
Wow the fairy-land hot-tub soft-porn sequence was cheese-tastic! I thought I'd add this though:
@Starlionblue: You should try "Triton"
@Knight_of_Pentacles: I also remembered my other favorite Le Guin short story collection, The Wind's Twelve Quarters. I like that one so much I'v bought copies of it to give to my friends as an introduction to her writing.
I had initially dismissed this movie as a cheap rip-off of District 9 (D9). However, maybe it is more than that. Like D9. it's low budget, but appears to focus on the characters and their stories. The concept of trying to contain the invasion, and the characters crossing the containment area is fairly novel idea.
@Valkyrie607: I'll second The Compass Rose, I've re-read that several times! Tales of Earthsea is also a very good short-story collection.
I absolutely agree with Ms. LeGuin's highly negative opinion of the SiFi "adaptation" of the Earthsea Trilogy. I re-read the trilogy in preparation for the SiFi series, and one of my friends read it for the first time. As we tried to watch the series on SiFi, we kept wondering WTF? It certainly wasn't really…
