Yeah it’s like Dodge was told: here’s a cool CUV design. We need you to make it look as close to a Dodge Journey as you can for brand continuity.
All that other stuff aside, who in the actual fuck pre-orders a compact crossover? Are cars really THAT scarce?
These brands deserve each other. This story shows how well they work together. Perfect.
Turns out Americans would rather own something they can buy and get serviced at their local Dodge dealer as opposed to trying to find an Alfa dealer within driving radius that will still be open in 5 years. It doesn’t matter how nice this car is, if the only way you could get one in the US is by going to an Alfa…
Yup. No different than the elusive Tesla Model 3 for $35K.
I guess people will have to walk across the street and pick up a competitors vehicle sitting on the lot...
Why are they Type S’ing everything except the Integra?
“Some noted that a sub-$30K base price for a 265-horsepower, all-wheel drive compact SUV seemed like a good value in this market.”
I guess my sarcasm wasn’t strong enough. The car is like the 4th version of the GM ultium platform...
Do you get this thing serviced at GM or Honda?
It looks a lot like everyone else’s “electric future”.
his new Sportage PHEV will be the only way you can get a turbocharged engine in the Sportage lineup
Technically nobody got that car because it’s an artist’s rendering. I think we romanticize Alfa Romeos but European Giuliettas were based on Fiats, had dull diesel engines and looked cross-eyed like this:
I think this is a size down from compact SUV. More like subcompact SUV, like the Kona, Buick Encore, Toyota CH-R, Honda HR-V, etc.
I think this is closer to the CX-3/CX-30 in size & spec.
Key differences from the Kona N: this has AWD, a plug in hybrid option, probably rides softer, and likely has a few more options.
Laughs in $20k markup.
That base model seems like a really good deal. Base price of <$30k for a 265hp/~300ftlb CUV with AWD standard? Strongly would consider this for our family once our Focus Hatchback needs to be retired.
That red that Mazda is using nowadays is quite possibly the prettiest red automotive paint ever used.
