I like what Mazda does with the 2.5 Turbo. Premium is not required, it has two power outputs - 227 HP or 250/256 HP and 310 or 320 lbft based on the rating (87 or 93) and you can use Regular no problem. They advertise this and let the consumer decide. More manufacturers should do this IMO

What’s best to lease- Those models with significantly high residuals i.e. Subaru Outback, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota Tacoma. In fact you can buy out the lease at the end, sell it and make a profit because the market price would end up higher than the calculated residual value.
