I sat in one at the NY Auto show. It’s a good looking car IMO and the liftback/hatchback has a lot of practicality. Interior is good but not Audi-level which is fine, but this needs to be $5K cheaper across the board (They’re offering $2500 Off MSRP now). Once it starts hitting $40+K I’d rather take the Stinger GT

Have seen plenty of shit talking about “Hurr Durr old Mercedes E-Class platform from the early 2000s” on the internet for years from people I assume have never driven one of the newer V8 examples (especially with the ZF 8 speed) and want everything to be a light corner-carving Miata. It’s not like Dodge kept the exact

There are better examples from Dodge’s(FCA’s) own lineup that proves this point better, IMO

Ah, forgot there’s always one in the comments ;)

How people who buy these things manage to procreate is beyond me.

The worst possible combo out of those is Dodge/Chevrolet +Van. Instant hit with the ladies!

When the 4 cylinder turbo Supra comes eventually it would be interesting to compare that to the future turbo TF86...It’s coming, right? guys?

That Avant looks good in gray.

Nobody cares about a manual on an Elantra to lament its passing, unless maybe it’s the 1.6 turbo Sport version.

If you have owned recent BMWs or even driven them a lot, the Supra switch gear/controls are instantly recognizable as the prior gen (think F30 3 series) whereas the Z4 is the new style  (G20 3 series)

I wouldn’t say the interiors are a carbon copy. Nevertheless here’s both so let the people be the judge

Notice I said “One” solution not “THE ” solution?

Personally, I have usually put down the entire trade in value of my (paid off) current car as down payment for my next car since 2012. Before that I put in 10% down and before that paid cash outright for my college days cars.

Good point on the suspension and sidewalls for a better ride as well, given our crumbling pothole-ridden roads in most place. Although, many new crossovers now come with “sport” suspension and rubberband tires that make them ride super harsh negating all those benefits.

For a change it’s not the Koreans who have derivative styling. You can slap a Hyundai badge on this no problem.

Although I do welcome it for those who want that option, I don’t think AWD is the solution for sedans’ shortcomings vs. crossovers. Purely based on my anecdotal experience and what friends and family with kids/elderly parents say:
