Excuse me Elizabeth, but this is clearly another short-seller hitpiece on noted philanthropist and Tony Stark-irl equivalent, Elon Musk. I have been assured by numerous people online that he is an amazing and perfect person, and by extension so are his companies.

Only 1 normal driver.

10 years from now, just about anything with an ICE is likely to be slower than the latest EV offerings. If your whole brand is about performance, it’s hard to argue for sticking with a lower performing option. Otherwise, you are just a 21st century Morgan and your brand is more about nostalgia.

The test isn’t about safety or whatever.

Exactly. There have always been cars that aren’t meant to be driven by the person buying them. Only difference is these luxury limos are driven by a person and not software.

This was my thought as well... don’t give me some austere interior that looks like an Apple Store designer’s wet dream, if I’m not meant to drive the car give me a comfortable place with like a couch, a TV, and a bar or something.

Shouldn’t the interior be less minimalistic and more customizable to suit the owner’s interests since they’ll be focused more on comfort than on driving?

I like that they admit the Model 3's interior is shit to use specifically because you weren’t meant to actually drive the car. Considering how far away Level 5 autonomy is, that goes beyond “putting the cart before the horse.” The horse hasn’t even been born yet.

They are getting a bunch of baloney, though.

No, because I don’t think the Tesla buyers got any cheese sandwiches.

I feel like the same general advice of “don’t treat Kickstarter as pre-orders” applies here.

Oh that 100% looks like the kinda car you warn women “don’t pull over just because it looks like a police car, find a well lit public location to pull over in 1st”

It’s like when people buy a place under the flight pattern of the local airport and then bitch about the jet noise.

Never heard of a company called TSLA. Any relation to Tesla?

Pinch to park, swipe left to enter “low range”, press and hold to return to the last used drive mode, two finger swipe to set the shifter to shuffle.

No, man, this isn’t a piece shitting on the Richest Man In The World, this is a piece shitting upon some really awful UX decisions. Sad is not being able to deal with actual valid critiques of technology without feeling like it’s an attack on Elon Musk, who I suspect will weather this onslaught just fine.

You joke, but your dream of aftermarket “non-touchscreen” solutions is not that far-fetched.

but rain sensing wipers still in beta

That won’t be reliable enough for a film production.

Apple probably can’t get past the idea that people or their mechanics will want access to parts as part of the right to repair. Oh sorry Mr iCar 1.0 owner, you lifted the hood to look at the wiring?!?! Your warranty is now void. We here at Apple appreciate your business and have this nice iCar 2.0 for only $125K. Also
