When I bought my FoST, a brand new one was like $1-2000 more than the used ones I was looking at with >25k miles. Made my decision to get the brand new one super easy. Plus with the better financing it will end up costing me less money to have bought new. I also knew who beat on it and how hard this way!
I saved $200 bucks on my last furniture purchase by asking them if I could have it $200 bucks cheaper. Makes me wish I would have said $300! So you can absolutely negotiate furniture prices.
