I am in the same boat. I never liked movies/shows/books where children were hurt/treated poorly, but now that I have two kids under 6 I avoid stuff like this like the plague, regardless how “good” it is. I can’t take it either!

I could not drive either of my Focus’s(Focii? an 01 sedan and a ‘17 ST) with rear facing car seats without the front seats all the way forward. Super uncomfortable to drive. My wife’s Torrent on the other hand had no issues with them. New car seats are no joke in their size!

Haha the dealer I bought my FoST from keeps sending me mail telling me to “upgrade” to one of these Ecosports, for only $400 a month. Those things are a joke and I have never actually seen one on the road.
