Hey now. As a mid-30's humanities professor, I take offense at how accurately you’ve managed to frame most of my students.

One, 78% of people who played the current version enjoyed it. Two, even if they didn’t, what does that have to do with Kickstarter? This has absolutely *nothing* to do with Kickstarter.

Complete idiots it seems.

This is something I’ve noticed a lot as well. The average YouTube “Let’s Play”er seems to be well below the average comprehension level for a gamer. This is then made worse by the fact that they frequently play games blindly and then SKIP TUTORIALS resulting in them walking around not knowing what to do shortly after,

Umm, he shipped the game to backers, as promised.

Seriously, he uses Bear Simulator to make 2.5 million views worth of profit and he wants his money back? That is the definition of SELFISH ASSHOLE.

Wow. And to think there were people starting to believe that maybe he’s not a total douche. Flipping off a guy who made a game by himself, just because it’s not up to his questionable standards. Though he’ll lose his shit over a Five Nights at Freddy’s game, another mediocre title made by 1 person.

yeah it’s a pretty snotty thing to do when money isn’t an issue; especially considering that, unless a game is broken or unplayable, people shouldn’t feel entitled to expect a full-refund for something they didn’t enjoy. A similar analogy would be a person asking for a full-refund on a meal they ate that they didn’t

I was on and off the bandwagon in the span of a year or so. Initially he seemed to have genuine reactions to the games he played, and the humor of his videos was in making observations about game logic, missing obvious solutions to puzzles for the longest time, and personalizing elements of the games in humorous ways

Yeah, after watching pewdiepies video, I’ve lost a lot of respect for the doucher. I never watched his videos so I wouldnt’ know, but he was a complete dick in that video. He made the video with the express purpose to rag on the game, and he has no right to ruin the game for people who were enjoying it (hence the

This is really tragic. I thought the game was fun(and so did 78% of the people who actually played it), but because Pewdiepie said he didn’t like it and excessively went out of his way to burn it(probably for drama’s sake no less) this man will probably never have a career in this field again because of a single

Late 30s, gaming since Wizardry 1 on a PC Jr, and I have not managed to stomach more than 5 minutes of PewDiePie. I wonder if this is how Trump voters feel when they want to take their gaming country back.

I can get criticism ruining a game, but usually that kind of criticism aligns with the majority opinion and not the minority, i.e. it seems to be more valid when it agrees with what everyone is already saying.

I am in my late 20s and none of the people anywhere near my age that play games and read about them would watch or care about PewDiePie. It is definitely a younger audience - apparently focused on girls in the 11-14 range, but I can’t say I’ve found any analytics to prove that they are his biggest audience.

For me the most interesting part of this story is that PewdiePie wants his money back. I mean, that’s a dick move, isn’t it?

It seems this dev took pewds video to heart and got mad/angry at him for the bad review and the finger, i think his reaction is justified if a bit over the top but still he got publically insulted/humilated. he totally needs to get revenge by putting some thing to lnsult / mock pewds in the update.

I know I am in vast minority, but what age group does pewdiepie attract? Just never found him funny. And I would never trust an entertainment video as a review. I tend to use a mix of kotaku/polygon/pocket tactics/TouchArcade. Depending on what I am playing.

Just checked and I did get a key - I must have missed the email about it, so my fault :-)

Hang on... I didn’t get a copy and I backed this. I’d better go and have a look at Kickstarter.

Felix “Pewdiepie” Kjellberg also played the game, and he did not like it at all.
