You don’t register the critique, or reasonable questions, or math performed with tangible numbers; you hear “YOU CHEATED!” from dudes on the internet and immediately get defensive.

I disagree that the Mass Pike is better than the NJ Turnpike, at least in terms of pavement condition. I don’t fault MA for being worse - harsh winters & freeze/thaw is a bitch - but Jersey is well-maintained for its use.
