Kano would be great (as others have mentioned). If you don’t want to purchase the Kano kit, you can put together the same things for under $100 and download the Kano OS for free and install it alongside other Pi-friendly distros.

I wonder if Apple and other companies will start including USB-C laptop charging/docking ports on their monitors. It’d be really nice to just plug a single cable into your laptop and have access to power and a bunch of high-speed ports on your monitor.

The MagSafe cord on the Apple monitor is for power for a MacBook, because the monitor is also a dock. You plug in two cables—MagSafe and Thunderbolt—to the laptop and everything else, from other Thunderbolt devices to Ethernet to USB devices, stays plugged in to the monitor.
