You’re ruling out the possibility that some of the people who attend this event have probably also been attending the already numerous protests about the issues you listed. And even if people haven’t, does it matter? We all want to scream at the sky anyway so we might as well bond over it.

Me too. I hear these stories and I think man I knew when I was in a position to interve (I understand all the reasons why it is not as simple as that) or at least teach some dudes a lesson because I would not have stood for that shit.

There are a ton of men who harass and assault women but you shouldn’t feel responsible for anyone’s actions but your own. I say that as a woman who has been harassed, groped, and assaulted.
