I currently have a first gen XB.  It’s on Koni dampers, lowering springs, grippy tires and wheels.  It looks the part and it’s a blast to drive around town in, but it’s horrid on the freeway at anything over 65 mph.  The little engine and short gearing means 4K at 75 MPH. 

I had a Scion XA which is basically a sportier Echo....built on the same platform. Loved that little car. Sewing machine engine, light weight, kinda fan to putt around in and extremely reliable. 

The Vibe entry was especially lazy.  They made a Toyota Matrix and it wasn’t a bad car.  I’d argue the Matrix XRS/Vibe GT was a slick little hatchback with the 180hp Celica GTS engine. 

I clicked to see how much they were charging for one and just as I thought....entirely too much. I would be willing to consider one for a fun little runabout for maybe $7K....$16k?  Noooooo

There’s nothing better than a family road trip with ham salad sandwiches or baloney and cheese and chips eaten from a ziploc bag along the freeway rest stop...usually out of a foam cooler full of ice and soda and Capri Sun.

Yeah, I knew people with the ecoboost Flex and they loved them.   I think they’re cool still.  Hard to beat a big brick that’ll go low 13's with a software flash.

I don’t know what they did, but the classic chicken sandwich was the best. The patty had a little bite to it...their mayo is on point and I’d get mine with cheese which made it that much better.
