The nepo baby discussion is both valid and overblown. There are plenty of people who get opportunities because of who their families are, but at one point you have to do something with the opportunity. Lots of people go into the family business or whatever and still flame out.

“Havana” is a genuinely pretty great pop song.

Athletic ability is definitely hereditary but obviously not generationally guaranteed.

The main story here is Emma Roberts continues to be unpleasant. Does she not know?

I’d say this whole conversation is a waste of time when focusing on the actors who actually turn out to be talented. Sure, they got a leg up, but if they’re good, just enjoy them!

Yeah I was just being kind of a smartass. I actually feel for that kid.  You know he’s aware of what’s coming.

I think “nepo babies” aren’t as much of a concern in sports because we have statistics for that. Ken Griffey Jr. never had to fight off the nepo baby rep.

Don’t worry, I’m still here and ready to talk about how Sam Levinson is a nepo baby hack. 

Or Bronny James.  This is going to be ugly.  He’s nowhere near pro caliber and his dad is going to get him utterly humiliated.

I don’t much mind the nepo baby thing or the debate around it. But when I hear/see the term, Emma Roberts is exactly the type of person that comes to mind. I’ve seen her in a few things and she’s...not good. It’s pretty clear she gets work because of her connections, not her talent. Now there’s been others like her…

It’s always assumed that women attained their position through something other than talent or hard work. They got the job because they are pretty. They slept their way to the job. Daddy bought it for them.  It isn’t surprising that they get tarred with the Nepo Baby brush more often as well.
