Agreed and understood.  The great thing about living in the south in a rural town that decided to put really nice chargers in that are free is that I always get to charge, lol.  It’s my local tax dollars anyways so I might as well get some of it back.

Personally, with all the random driving trips I take, I simply can’t get an EV anytime soon because of how long it takes to recharge, and constant worries about charger wait times or availability on routes I choose to take.

I just got a Tesla, granted we are in the Midwest, but at any given time, the most I’ve ever seen at a Supercharger is 2 other cars plus myself. The infrastructure outruns demand here but I can see it being a major issue in other areas.

The wait times are killing me. I can charge to 80% in 15min but stand around in line for an hour on average. What’s worse is that 99% of charges don’t have any sort of queue, so you’re left with going car to car asking who’s in line and who’s next.

People who have enjoyed the convenience of NEVER having to wait in line for gas are not going to trade that for the dice roll of waiting for an EV charger.

Never in my life have I heard of anyone, anywhere waiting that long for gas, except during the oil crisis 50 years ago, and before and (especially) after natural disasters. Yeah but when each person spends 30 minutes to hours charging (assuming they’re even there right when it’s finished!) there’s a big difference between a line at an EV station vs. a gas station.
