Mine is a 3rd gen and the motor cuts out right around 25mph. I can hit and maintain 24mph on flat ground when unladen. I have not tested flat ground speed when my kids are on it, but I do not recall it feeling off from that.

The only benefit of this over a Cargo eBike is not getting wet when it rains....

That is a Car Payment of $333 /mo. Cannot really buy a brand new car that equals whatever you have for that monthly cost - and next year you may only spend 1k or less on it.... You are making the right choice.

If drivers are both more educated and practiced safe following distances - There are not “Emergency” situations that cannot be avoided.
