But I think this also speaks to people who limit themselves unnecessarily. Some people miss out on experiencing a lot of life, not because of anxiety but just because they get into a rut or routine. Maybe pushing out of the routine (experiencing momentary discomfort) will help those people see more of the world.

Have one to fix your failing relationship. Do it. I dare you.

I think this needs a disclaimer: This comment was more of a statement of fact by casen regarding the uncomfortable nature of babies. Do not have a baby to better yourself. Seriously.

Does getting up via alarm clock, putting on clothes I hate and leaving my family for hours at a time count?

Or you can have a baby. Then every day you'll be forced to do something uncomfortable... and that uncomfortable something will change as s/he grows older... perfect training, if you ask me. ;)
