I never even bothered to look for mods, thinking nobody would do such a thing when it’s primarily (?) played online, even though in my last play-through, I didn’t bother with multiplayer. God bless our free time.

The real crime was being clever and factoring object speed into damage, and then you can just do a hitbox & object size multiplier so you aren’t hardcoding everything like a peasant. They should’ve been boring trash-people and done hitbox & object type (+ any skill multipliers).

I will fight anyone who tries to take Toady’s DF dev time away. DF’s been in steady development for a looong time, and has a long way to go.

It’s not unhealthy if you’re a winner and spend all day jerking your ego off... or.... wait.

Steam review scores are trash, but it takes a Hell of a lot of problems (and/or Jim Sterling) to get a <50% score on Steam. Looks good, though, and Luke has good taste, and Banner Saga was amazing, so.... dunno.

It’s well-established that CoD is just ripping off old flash game Anti-Idle The Game, now.

Looks better than a watch I could buy at the dollar store. Maybe not twice as good, but at least 40-80% better. Can always draw the numbers and/or dashes on so it’s useful.

Could be. A lot of people have hobbies.

I’m pretty sure there was a child sex slave mod for one of the Fallouts. However, after realizing I just typed “child sex slave mod” into Google, I realized what a horrible mistake I was making.

I’m just posting this here to corroborate my story when I inevitably hear the knock.

I’d like to draw attention to EA’s name being Electronic Arts. It’s a bold, meaningful name, not that buzzword crap we see so often, like Ubisoft or  Blactivision.

-And it’s the flagship products like My Fashion Mall which I feel exemplifies the name. This isn’t a product which was made to fit an audience, but the

It’s literally the literal definition of shameless copying then, literally.

I really want to complain because I just played through Sonic 2 & 3+S&K and it’s like.... things are copied pretty shamelessly. -But OTOH, I’d totally buy well-made romhacks, so... this is probably going to be the best Sonic release in decades, and I’m expecting to enjoy it.

Novelty food reviewer: “I’m not sure I like novelty in my food.”

Matchmaking is already included in Overwatch’s price. I haven’t played, but I’d imagine they let you pick from which continent (if not specific country) you want your mates from.

The day I see Mountain Dew sponsor a Rugrats: Search for Reptar speedrun is the day I.... I don’t want to say “kill myself,” because I’m pretty sure it’ll eventually happen.

ETA: I can see how that statement could be considered ambiguous.

Resolve this dispute with a trial. Give reviewers or experienced gamers three games - a 95%, 90%, and 85% Metacritic game, and have them sort them after playing. I’d expect >60% accuracy - >90% if only two (95% and 85%).

lol, yeah - outsource bugfixes AND DRM to the modders. Outsource the pre-funding, and Hell, have them submit assets while they’re at it in exchange for their name in the credits. Maybe every Wednesday, we’ll have fans submit code for introducing new mechanics and we’ll select one lucky winner to have their code

Not just his mod, but a mod posted for free. My only (very minor) concern is that publishers might start thinking about moving the goalposts. Many mods already state use with pirated copies is prohibited, but to actually enforce it is definitely an above-and-beyond type thing and should continue to be treated as such,

There’s possibly a good idea in there somewhere.
