First they did "It's Madonna," actually. A few weeks later they also trotted out "It's Britany, b1tch!" Source: I have 392 Soup video files.

Goll-eee!

That is my fav line of the series. Katie as Margaret Hamilton, oh my yes.

Ben Orr was pretty dreamy back when. Incidentally I had to look up his name. You know, the other lead singer who didn't have an Adam's Apple the size of his forehead.

Out in Oregon our cars…needs washed too. "The car needs washed" sounds perfectly normal to me. I grew up in the Eastern side of the state, closer to an instance of it from Idaho on the project map, so perhaps this is a regional thing.

A friend who grew up in Philly is always snickering at my pronunciation of "both" - "bowlth." I hear this off and on from other PNWesters, like Kurt Cobain. My friend for his share fairly talks like the Fonz, the fruit that you peel is "aweranje" for instance.

I've known Oregonians who warsh down by cricks, too. Was talking to a friend the other day about Ignatius P. Reilly's mom "wrenching out dishes in the zinc," too.

Don't drone on and on abonnet.

She is definitely NILF.

"Arrow of Light"? I thought that was the dingus Starbuck returned to Caprica for.

You flatter me, kind goon.

HEADSUP FOR NEWBIES!

Is that a quote from the TV show Delta House? I have a vague memory of the Dean yelling that a lot. That was, what, 36 years ago? So I may be just imagining this.

Minelli and Garland, among others, demanded that Martin lighten things up a bit, resulting in what you hear in the film. Sinatra had him lighten things up yet more, as pointed out in the article.

I think that's referring to a certain actress who pronounces it "cam-uh-ra" and has also been more than willing to don blackface when necessary.

The DC5, yes. Kick out the jams, you bleedin' rotters!

OK, question: Did the Dean yell that a lot on the TV show? I listened to the Futurama DVD commentary to see if the writers were referencing that, they didn't mention it. I swear I remember it being a recurring bit on Delta House, which I haven't seen since it went off the air.
