Saw headline - clicked on article - saw picture of beige Corolla - question answered.

Mazda Canada offered the CX-5 with a 155hp 2.0L, FWD and 6MT up until 2018 (US availability ended in 2016 with the first generation), likely because it let them advertise a lower starting price and lower fuel consumption.

Jeep left it on as an “option” so they could make towing capacity and horsepower claims, and nothing more.

Stellantis and their propaganda, I swear they get their ideas from watching the government officials in the “Chernobyl” special.

Ford Tempo. Most of you probably never drove one let alone heard of one. But they were the Jan Brady of Ford’s lineup. You either got an Escort (really basic car) or you got the family car, the Taurus. The Tempo filled a small niche.

Loved my black 2017 Jetta before I sold it to switch to an EV. It doesn’t get the love the Golfs do, but I loved it anyway. It was small and agile in traffic and had enough acceleration to merge and move. I treated it way too nice by polishing the paint, ceramic coating, etc, and washing every chance I got. It shined

Here’s a vote for keeping a two-pilot flight crew. And Airbus is pushing EASA for single-pilot flight decks.

If you really, really need just anything that moves under its own power and your budget is $5K or less, I guess you could roll the dice on this. NP if it’s not actively leaking and doesn’t spew blue smoke or something when you turn the key, but this screams “stopgap car.”

Conversely, I think it’s what Toyota should’ve done with the heritage 4Runner - they didn’t go far enough.

Damn, I kinda like it. I actually really like the one that is like a pastel color one. There’s one near me that is three door, pastel green with white roof and white steel rims, and that looks kinda good. I don’t want it, but I like it.

My wife saw one of these and pointed it out to me like it was a 1st gen 4runner. We had been drinking.

Bring it on, but if we’ve jumped from late 60's to late 70's nostalgia, Ford better have a deal hammered out with whatever private equity group that currently owns Eddie Bauer by 2026.

Ditto, I’m like, what is Andy trying to circle for us?

I thought someone had done a bad job of circling something in a screenshot with the microsoft snipping tool in that first picture of the interior.

Miata with winter tires, obviously.

“Estimate the Cybertruck value, HAL.”

I never thought I’d find a use case, but this seems like the perfect opportunity to recommend:

First and Second Gen Acura TSX.
Extremely comfortable. Great to drive. Excellent 6-speed manual. Can get the second-gen in a wagon. Basic, clean styling that holds up today. Pinnacle of what made Honda/Acura famous for reliability (especially first gen). You can find them today dirt cheap, even in good shape.

I was the

First gear: I respect that Toyota was hesitant to jump headfirst into EVs (and the market shows they were smart to do that), but I wish they would double-down on that and release a bunch more plug-in hybrids instead.

First gear: Not a surprise.
