Since you can’t buy an E46 with this kind of mileage any more and this is the closest you can get to the old E46 325ci- NP. This vintage BMW is also fairly reliable in terms of German cars.

The old programming mantra of Garbage In/Garbage Out. All self driving technology is only as good as the inputs it receives. You can have the best AI programming and decision trees but if the data they receive is garbage, the output will also be garbage. As soon as the lenses on the sensors get covered in debris,…
This vehicle is antithetical to VW. There is no such thing as a $70k “people’s car”. VW has always offered style at a premium but within their own models that uniquely styled vehicles have never been significantly more expensive than the platforms they were based on. The new beetle certainly had unique styling and…
Right, you have to look at opportunity cost. If you get a relatively low APR then you are better off putting some of the money you could’ve used to outright buy the car into investments. Either way it comes down to not buying more than you can afford.
Pay $10k for worse acceleration and then you have to pay an additional $2k for the performance package to actually beat out the base model? Really I’m not seeing any reason not to buy the CLE450 over this. The base has better ride quality, better acceleration, cheaper maintenance (don’t have to buy performance pads,…
pretty similar side profile.
I’m mostly in but then I go to “the door locks need to be rekeyed” and that is something that is too annoying to do for $8k. ND
The Tacoma being available with the 6MT means the 4R could get it, although I know it never will.

In between the 3 and the CX-5 I had an ‘18 Forester (last year of the manual). Even with the manual and a 2.5 flat four it was not as fun as my CX-5 with the 2.5 and an auto. I’d like to get another manual runabout before they cease to exist. If Toyota offered the 4Runner with a manual I’d buy one.
I thought the 2.0 didn’t put out enough power in the 3 for my liking. When we moved up to the CX-5 I was plenty content with the power output of the 2.5. I also wanted a Grand Touring which did not come with the 2.0.
I had that set up in a 3 hatchback. It was lovely. The take rate was super low on the CX-5's and with the extra weight you really do want the 2.5.
The Chevy Express also goes back to like 1996. I know they consider the E-Series the same generation from 1992-Current but they have changed much more than the Express has.
I believe we also got a 2.0 version of the Tigershark rated at 160hp. The 2.4 was rated at 184hp. At least according to Wikipedia.
That is a much better assessment. Thanks for providing some clarity.
Weird the Mercedes and Volvo aren’t on here as they push safety more than any other brands.
Interesting, looks like there was also an in between 2.0 engine. You are correct my general assumption is that a large NA four cylinder will be the most reliable of the bunch and yet it is the Italian 1.4 turbo with the innovative valve system. Although I do blanket assume the manual is going to be the more reliable…
Those gold rims on the 4R are sweet though.
You would essentially need to send it a fake signal from a dummy 02 sensor. The problem with that is the ECU is not reading any real data it’s just constantly running in an open loop. Although the rear 02 sensor is just used to monitor the catalytic convertor is working, the front 02 sensor is still needed as an…
