I’m just saying of the transitions mentioned the jump from 7th to 8th was by far the craziest and weirdest.

Wouldn’t the logical jump be to a VW Golf SportWagen? That is the next bigger wagon after the Golf and the only one that VW made after the Jetta and Passat stopped doing wagon stuff. I believe they made them until 2019 and they came with a 1.4t and 6 speed manual.

The 4th to the 5th generation of the Lexus LS (and most of the Lexus’ that went full Predator face) for me:

What about the really crazy transition?  RWD to FWD from a luxury coupe to a tuner competitor.

The naturally 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle inline-4 is hooked up to a two-motor series hybrid system”

Shoulda got a new Wrangler.  They only come with power windows now apparently.

I don’t care what year it is that is too much for a used Corolla.  I understand of all the Corolla’s this is the most collectible but it has 147,000 miles on it and although there’s no visible rust on the outside I think it probably has some somewhere-and that will be it’s downfall.

What a world where a Porsche is the better off-roader than a Hummer.

Is someone pushing a bunch of laser discs in Mexico?  I need to hear more about that person.

2JZ engine. No shit

His payment is almost double my mortgage lol.

Bentley Muslanne the last of the Old World Bentleys. Has the 6 3/4 engine that dates back to the 50's makes a gazillion lb-ft of torque off idle. Requires between 17-18 cows to die for the interior and at least one very large tree. The interior require 170 man-hours to complete. I would’ve picked the Arnage T but this

Accords are ginormous on the inside.  It amazes me how big sedans have gotten over the years.  My mother in law had a Camry and it was also huge.

Generally speaking it seems if you change the oil every 5k miles it’ll be fine as the oil will still be robust enough to handle lubrication duty.  People who do 7.5k oil changes might not be so lucky.

I miss the old 2.0T Accord Sport manual.  That thing was great.

I’m still trying to come around to the 1.5T.  I’ve heard it is a peppy engine but 0-60 in 6.8 is slower than my old 2013 Si which did it in 6.5.  I’m sure the passing speeds are better due to the low end torque of this engine though.  I’ve heard through the forums that the 1.5T has issues with oil dilution due to the

Couldn’t be because in the hierarchy Mercury>Ford so the Escort would be more comparable to a Civic.

When one company has 48% of the market share “catching up” is a relative term. There’s a lot of word salad here and the article doesn’t state specifically what Tesla sold in July in total (despite stating 2nd place and beyond) which doesn’t help for relative comparison. So if we do 118,273 for July and Tesla has .48

I had a friend who had one of these and they are a pain in the ass to work on and have a boatload of problems.  The AWD system is super weak and parts are both expensive and hard to find.  The reason EVO’s and STi’s hold their value while these don’t.
