This is not BOF at all. This is still unibody just like the last Charger. It’s on the new STLA large platform. There are 4 different STLA platforms-Small, Medium, Large, and Frame. The RAM 1500 rides on the STLA Frame which is a conventional BOF.

It is on 89 octane (mid-grade) not 87.

If you look at the Ram the base engine is the ol’ Pentastar 3.6 V6.  Not sure they ever designed this to have that engine in it though.

Look at the dimensions compared to the outgoing Charger wide body and you will see this thing is plenty wide. It’s .1" slimmer than an F150 for goodness sake.

The humidor option just lets everyone know you are buying a car that definitely is going to smell like cigars forever.

From the outside this has the looks of a long wheelbase ‘05 Ford 500.  Those rims look rental car spec.  Personally I’d go for an optioned out S-class of this vintage and save myself the headache of sourcing Maybach specific parts and extra insurance costs. ND

My thought is not a muscle car but a luxury coupe- The Lincoln Mark IX and maybe a Thunderbird variant.  I want big cushy seats and a nice stereo in something that can eat up highway miles.

Also the 4runner has thus far missed both engines from the Tacoma- the 3.5 DI V6 and now the 2.4T.  So who knows when it’ll get something new.

My current one does 0-60 in just below 8 seconds so I could care less as far as acceleration.  What I do care about is getting better than 18.5mpg.  Used R1S may be the way to go because EV’s depreciate like crazy.

I think most people won’t either. For whatever reason everyone seems to prefer AWD over 2WD. I bought a CX-5 the last year you could get FWD in the Grand Touring spec. The reason- better fuel economy and less maintenance. Adding a transaxle, PTO, and everything else the comes with AWD makes maintenance much more

I totally get that. And I read the really good write up in motortrend about the engine. I think they went beyond having AWD in mind and went to only using AWD. The new charger daytona is on a brand new platform that seems designed specifically for AWD so I doubt they will even make a RWD set up because of the

The victory came despite a raft of anti-union sentiment access the company, as the site explains”

I’ve been waiting for Toyota to come up with an electric 4runner and this is pretty close.  Really need to see the interior dimensions though as this is about 6" shorter than a 4runner but with the availability of a frunk that may make up for the shorter dimensions.

Not sure but it may be eligible for a $7500 tax credit, which would make that price a little more reasonable.

I’ve only heard about this from the Dodge side.  Surely if there is a four door successor to the Charger 4 door there has to be a 300 replacement as well?  Chrysler will be down to 1 model after the 300 bows out.

Hey we just came out with the brand new super complex engine, why not pair it with more stuff tacked on like front drive axles.

My guess with it being AWD only is that it will also be automatic only. In the interest of transparency the 420hp quoted is on 89 octane for the standard output and the 55ohp for the H.O. is on 91 octane and is rated at premium only fuel- assuming this is the same for the Jeep Hurricane that Motortrend did a write up

The Celica All-trac was also pretty complex.  I remember the 3S-GTE looking like a bag of snakes when you popped the hood.

Gotta say I love the manufacturers that put the temperature readout in the dial.  It looks so cool.

Look at Chrysler models- the 300 and Pacifica.  One will not be produced next year and the other is a dated Minivan.  Doesn’t look good.
