Also, in theory you leave the tent to pee- that’s when they getcha

the auto in a 1996 trans am/firebird/whatever GM should be a 4L60E (from 93+) the manual is a T5 WC but the V6 has a different bolt pattern to the V8 for uh reasons...

GM used the T5 in both the V6 and V8 Camaro’s, but the gear ratios were different, as well as, the bellhousing to transmission bolt pattern. The V8

As far as parasitic draw on a battery the go to way to check is to put an ammeter inline with the negative cable on the battery after everything is turned off in the car. Start by pulling fuses and see when the draw drops off. Once you have established which fuse has the culprit on it find out what is on that system.

Ok, which one of you is LS swapping this?

I had the slave cylinder go out on the clutch of my ‘93 civic when I was driving from WV back to Maryland. I was able to shift it into 1st with the car off at a stop light and rev match it and shift it without a clutch (I pushed the clutch in anyways to utilize whatever force was left in the dying clutch cylinder) in

The high pitched whine of a failing power steering pump is the worst. Bonus: favorite noise is 80's to 2000's honda manual transmission reverse noise- Wahhnanananana

Charging times?  Type of charger?  Range is only one component of owning an EV.

Things I would recommend instead of what’s on this list- a battery powered compressor and a flashlight that runs of the same batteries, plus a few backup batteries. Anyone who works on stuff probably has an impact driver and drill and every brand (dewalt, milwaukee, ryobi, etc.) has a portable inflator and flashlight

Sounds a lot like a monorail, also my monorail GIF kept getting Kinja’d

Hey a Dodge/Chrysler hemi v8 has 16 so 12 isn’t even that bad.

Sorry but I’m not going to believe a $30k electric car until I see it.  This seems to be a continuing theme of automakers offering budget electric cars that never come to fruition.

You made me remember the Trax and now I’ve thrown up.

With the weight of all these new electric vehicles the roads are going to get even more beat up.  Vehicles are going to get real heavy real fast and our roads are already trash.

I’m not going to run the numbers but I’m pretty sure they are still including the 100% drop in sales from the focus and the almost 90% drop from the fusion, both of which have decreases purely from end of production.  That’s going to skew the data quite a bit.  Once you trim the outliers I’m sure the sales drop is

What a wonderful story! If you are looking to get into a slightly less rusty and much better functioning vehicle I’ve got a holy grail Dodge Dakota that is going up for sale soon. I’ve always thought you would want first dibs. 5.2 V8 TBI (LA engine) 8' bed, 4x4, power windows and locks and a bitchin tape deck.  A ZZ

Wait you are taking the fit to the dealer to do spark plugs?  I would say spark plugs on a honda fit are on the level of oil changes in terms of difficulty.  Everything is on top!

My friend had a chipped B5 S4.  If you are considering a swap it may be cheaper to just buy the real deal.  Haven’t checked on prices though, I’m sure everything is insane and 10 minutes from having both turbos blown.

Richmond was literally the capital of the confederacy. Anyone who says that Virginia is not the south, especially in Civil War terms is dumb.

In terms of metal they are ranking elemental metals I believe. Palladium is an element, Pd on the periodic table. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Palladium is used in all kinds of stuff outside of catalytic convertors apparently:

That’s a very stout block. The early ones were known to take quite a bit of power. Back in my audi days I used these folks for parts:
