Name a cheaper convertible. I’ll wait. Base MSRP is $26,830. Mustang (the next closest if I’m correct) starts at $32,655

The answer is always....

Oh you mean the history of the car industry. SEE audi/vw MBQ platform, nissan FM platform, Ford CD4 platform, etc.

Looks like mainly surface rust and if the frame is in decent condition I’ll go NP. Kind of weird to do an engine swap and not throw in a new carb to check the running condition.  I’d probably swap the 327 for something newer and LS based.

Just want to point out that you could use Morse code to do entire works of literature with taillights.

best to change them when the trans is a little warm.  Helps the bolts break free easier.  Also, if you are ever dropping the pan, make sure to clean the magnet (if it has one) and change the filter- making sure the O-rings and what not are replaced.

Speaking of ancient platforms, can someone ask toyota when I can get a plug in hybrid 4runner? I mean ideally an all electric variant too, but I’d settle for something over 20mpg in hybrid form.

Honestly that fuel economy is pretty lackluster.  Especially when you look at how crazy the 2wd Diesels get.  I’ve seen 1500 series trucks from all the big 3 getting into either close to or over 30mpg with RWD diesel set ups.  In terms of power you stated the RPM for peak HP but not the RPM for peak torque which is

I’ve seen corroded fuses do all kinds of weird stuff.  The best thing to do is lightly get the corrosion off with emory cloth (sand paper for metal) and but a dab of dielectric grease on the fuse terminals to keep the water out.  Also, probably figure out the leak so water isn’t constantly pouring onto electric things.

Are you sure there isn’t a manual way to open via the sunroof motor? On ford/mercury/lincoln sunroofs the motor has an allen hole that you can turn the motor manually to open and close it.  Had to do a sunroof on an MKX one time (well both sunroofs really) and I could open them with the battery off by turning with a

For me the big downside to electric motorcycles is the lack of shifting.  For me a big part of the riding experience is the coordination between the engine and the transmission.  Hitting the perfect shift or being in just the right gear at the right time mid corner is an experience.  The whole twist and go and instant

Also get yourself a drum brake tool! Keep it in the car at all times they are a one-stop shop for drum brake work. Something like this:

IIRC some drums are self adjusting.  Also hopefully they give you that little rubber cover that you can pull off to get to the star wheel with the drum installed.  My go to adjustment method was adjust out until there was a slight drag on the shoe then do one turn back.  Rolling in reverse a little and hitting the

^this.  The literally definition of “off-road ready” is ready to go off road.  Most manufacturer add a factory lift kit and the skid plates as part of their off-road package (explorer timberline, toyota TRD, ford FX4, GM Z71, etc.)  If honda has to add those after the fact then the truck is most certainly not off-road

Disagree, look at the prices of trucks that used to be a dime a dozen like 70' and 80's F150's and C10's. Those things are super collectible today. I think certain specs like the Ford F150 5.0 4x4 will hold its value quite well if not go up in value. Same goes for a chevy 1500 with the 6.2 V8 and 4x4.  Naturally
