Yes I read that in the article, just wanted to post a picture to show how similar.  On first glance I thought this was a write up of the Audi.  The rims especially look like a direct ripoff.

Test drove a first gen and hated how bad the ride quality was over bumps. The entertainment system was also terrible. I’ve heard the new entertainment system also feels a decade old for being in a new car. Considering how could kia/hyundai are at this stuff I would hope that Toyota could get it right but it seems all

This looks very similar to the audi skyphere

Falcon Smash!

I put the 4runner in this category as well. Needs an optional V8, hybrid v6, full electric, or a hotter V6 engine.

The 2022 trailblazer is even worse.  Only has options of a 1.2 or 1.3L 3 cylinder.  137 and 155hp respectively.

If you think the current Jetta is bad you clearly have not driven the old 2.slow with a whopping 115hp/122lb-ft. and a 4 speed auto.  I think the 0-60 was in the low 10's

I’ll give it that. No matter how it was driven mine always got in the high 30's, usually hovering around 39mpg. I just always wanted it to have more power. That being said at the very least Mazda as a whole should bring back some of the mazdaspeed cars. The 3 chassis can definitely handle more power than the 2.5T with

I’ll also throw the toyota 4runner in here. For the price and what it competes against a 300+ hp engine should be available. The old 4.0 that’s been in there for years gets along with 270hp and that’s just not competitive any more, especially when they are selling between $45k and $55k

Base mazda 3 2.0L only makes 155hp. It is painfully slow and surprisingly was offered in the Cx-5 for some time. Still fun with a stickshift and its a great handling car but I would love to see more power.  Also a mazdaspeed version would be nice (with a 6spd manual)

Did you read the inspection report? There were rumors that state police would bring in bait cars that were technically within spec but were close to a fail to see if inspectors would fail them. A lot of state minimums are close to failure. For example ford states a minimum of 3/32 for brake pads, the state minimum is

You have to take a state test to be a licensed inspector.  Also the inspection license is held by the individual not by the dealership so you as an inspector are liable, not the dealer.  If the dealer sells a car and state troopers find out it fails inspection you can lose your license and be fined.  I really don’t

One problem Honda with making their engines so efficient is that the heat tends to not be great.  If an engine is more efficient it produces less heat since heat is wasted energy.  That translates to the coolant not being as hot, creating a system where the heater core doesn’t heat as much.  A transition to electric

if these things go for $2.5 mil and they can make a special edition with minimal work go for $3+ mil they’ll do it in a heartbeat.

With sedans going the way of the Dodo I don’t see a market for el camino type vehicles.  SUV’s/Crossovers are hot right now so you do a derivative of that.  When sedans were king it made sense to make modified truck type platform.  With no sedans from multiple manufacturers (ford and much of GM) there’s not even a

With this model being a turbo did Hyundai mention if they recommend premium fuel for this engine? Is it like the ford 2.3 ecoboost where it has two different ecu maps to run on regular vs. premium? It always seems sketchy when manufacturers tell you the car can run on either 87 or 91+ but the power numbers are always

Right but this is an homage car, not some ground breaking new design- which is the author pointed out would be named something different then Countach. Can you imagine if Lambo came out with a car named Countach that looks nothing like the original? I feel like the would piss even more people off than this one did.

The Ford straight 6 is better (4.9/300CI) IMO

In the same vein I feel like the ford/international 7.3 V8 should be up there.  It was the workhorse in RV’s, School Buses, and countless F250's and up.  Bulletproof reliable and makes decent power especially in turbocharged form with the intercooler.

I’ll go with the toyota 4age. Came with a supercharger in the MR-2 and was in a bunch of different vehicles toyota made for like 20 years. There were some cool racing applications where it made serious power like the formula atlantic engines. Very reliable and technically advanced when it came out (4v/cylinder, multi p
