I think it’s more insidious than that: the tea party infiltrated every church and convinced people that the truly moral position is to vote Republican. This is the Bible Belt!

In Texas and that’s whaf baffles me. Over and over public schools get shit on and the teachers keep voting in to office the shitters.

I’m an educator and my educator friends are absolutely silent. They’ve voted Republican governors into office, Republican senators into office. This is now about “state’s rights” in education and when you’ve filled the state offices with Republicans you have created a dismantling of public education.

I became alt certified because I feel so passionately about public school. I can’t even breathe right now.

Teachers, it is time to fight!
