Because he started at the bottom and played college athletics because he was so dirt poor that his mother actually had to come live with him in his dorm room in college? Because he actually had to use a check from a pre-approved discover card to pay his first tuition…

It’s Dab-O. It’s a nickname from when he was a young child. His brother kept trying to say “That Boy” which came out somewhat as Dat Bo. Over time it just got turned into Dabo by the family and ended up as a nickname.
